What are the check-in and check-out times?

The stay day begins at 3:00 PM and ends at 10:00 AM.

Can I get a VAT invoice for my stay?

Yes, but only if we receive this information together with your invoicing details at the time of booking or before making a partial payment for the stay. The online booking system has an option to add invoicing details.

How can I book a stay?

Is a deposit required when booking?

Yes, to guarantee the booking an initial payment is required, which, depending on the start date of your stay, is either full payment, an advance payment, or a deposit. The remaining payment is made on arrival – it's best to check the exact terms with us directly.

What payment methods are accepted?

We mainly prefer payment by bank transfer or card, and BLIK via phone. Our online booking system also accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Is the price per cottage or per person?

The price applies to the whole cottage and covers a set number of guests. A surcharge may apply for a larger number of guests.

Is the weekend more expensive?

Yes – weekend stays are usually more expensive than weekday stays, due to higher demand. You'll get the best prices by booking a stay from Sunday to Friday.

How much does a cottage cost on New Year's Eve?

New Year's Eve is the most in-demand date of the year, so prices are set individually and may be higher than standard. If you're planning a stay during this period, contact us as early as possible to get a current offer.

Can the whole guesthouse be rented exclusively?

Yes. We accept group bookings for the entire guesthouse, which has 8 rooms for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 people, for a maximum of 27 guests. If the guesthouse doesn't have enough space for your group, you can additionally book 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x Górski Domek cottages, or 1x or 2x STARY MŁYN apartments.

Can weddings be held at the property?

Yes, that's possible. We've hosted several weddings and receptions. It's best to ask about the details by contacting us directly.

Accommodation

How many people can stay in a cottage?

The cottage is set up for a stay of up to 9 people.

Can I check in earlier?

We make cottages and rooms available as soon as possible. The standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, but rooms and cottages are usually ready earlier. Even if we can't hand over the cottage / room right away, you can always leave your car with us and wait a little while we finish preparing it.

What accommodation options are available?

Guests can choose between guesthouse rooms (for 2, 3, 4 or 5 people), comfortable Górskie Domki cottages for up to 9 people with their own kitchen and bathroom, and STARY MŁYN apartments for up to 10 people.

Are extra beds and cots available for children?

Yes, some rooms have so-called extra beds, which are standard-size 90×200 beds. We can equip your room / cottage with a cot for small children, a toilet seat reducer, a baby bath, and a step stool for kids. Please let us know in advance when booking.

Is there internet in the rooms and cottages?

Yes, all rooms and cottages have access to free fast WiFi via a fibre optic connection.

Are towels and bedding provided in the rooms and cottages?

Yes, both cottages and rooms are prepared to a hotel standard, so they're equipped with towels, bedding and pool towels.

What's the standard of room furnishings?

Guesthouse rooms include, among other things: a bathroom (towels, hairdryer), a smart LED TV with the Netflix app installed and active, a mini fridge, a kettle with tea, bedding, pool towels, and a set of toiletries.

What's the standard of cottage furnishings?

The cottages are equipped with a bathroom with a large shower cubicle, a hairdryer, towels, bedding, a clothes dryer, and sun loungers. The kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, liquid soap, a stove, pots, plates, glasses, mugs, a pump espresso machine, a Turkish coffee pot, a filter coffee machine, a juicer, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher. There's also a smart LED TV with the NETFLIX app installed and active (plus YouTube and other apps). The living room also has a fireplace with a real fire. Outside there's a separate private garden with a terrace and garden furniture, plus a concrete grill. If needed, you'll also find a vacuum cleaner and other cleaning supplies among the equipment.

Is the cottage heated?

Every cottage is heated, with the ability to control the temperature in each room individually via an electronic thermostat.

Are there facilities for people with disabilities?

The guesthouse isn't fully accessible due to the stairs. However, on the ground floor there's an apartment for up to 5 people with two bedrooms and two bathrooms that's free of barriers for people with disabilities. The cottages, meanwhile, are set up for guests with disabilities with a minimal number of small thresholds.

Amenities and attractions

What amenities does the guesthouse offer?

A pool (in season), a hot tub – a Russian-style banya (on request, extra charge), a sauna with a view of the stream (on request, extra charge), a large grill and bonfire shelter, a bonfire area, a volleyball court, lots of green space, hammocks and sun loungers. At the guesthouse you'll also find a winter and summer terrace for gatherings in larger groups. There's also a fireplace lounge, a children's room and a dining room.

How much does the hot tub and sauna cost?

We prepare the banya and sauna on individual request for exclusive use by guests, at a cost of 250 PLN for the banya and 100 PLN for the sauna, regardless of the number of guests and how long you'd like to use it during the session. Because heating 3 tonnes of water in the banya to 38–40°C takes a long time, we take orders in advance so the banya is ready by around 6:00 PM.

Can you light a grill on site?

Yes, grill spots and a grill shelter with a bonfire area are available. Every cottage also comes with its own grill.

Is breakfast included in the room price for guesthouse guests?

Breakfast is available for an extra charge and served buffet-style. Breakfast time is arranged according to guests' preferences.

Can breakfast be ordered to the cottages?

Yes, it's possible to order breakfast delivered to the cottages. We normally serve breakfast at the guesthouse, which is next to the cottages. Breakfast is prepared buffet-style. There's also the option to have breakfast delivered directly to your cottage for a slightly higher fee, in which case it's delivered in a wicker basket.

Can I bring a pet?

We welcome pets in the Górskie Domki cottages as well as in the STARY MŁYN apartments. Our resort in Szklarska Poręba is 100% pet-friendly. We accept dogs in the cottages with no extra charges. At the guesthouse we welcome pets up to 12 kg, unless you're renting the entire guesthouse exclusively, in which case there's no limit.

Is there any coffee-making equipment in the cottage?

Yes, there are 3 different ways to make coffee. The first is a pump espresso machine, the second a filter coffee machine, and the third option is a Turkish coffee pot. All 3 require ground coffee.

Is it possible to organise a bonfire?

Yes, just let our staff know and we'll prepare the right amount of cut firewood for you. We don't charge any extra fees for the bonfire.

Is using the pool paid?

No, using the pool doesn't involve any extra charge.

Location and getting there

Where is Ośrodek BORSZÓWKA located?

The property is located in Biała Dolina – the most beautiful part of Szklarska Poręba, 2.1 km from the town's main centre. Nearby you'll find the main hiking trails and ski lifts, and the drive to the centre takes 5 minutes by car, or correspondingly longer on foot

Is parking available for guests?

Yes, we have a large car park where everyone can find a spot. We don't charge for parking.

How far is the guesthouse from the town's main attractions?

The centre of Szklarska Poręba is about a 5-minute drive away. The area has hiking trails, cycling routes and ski lifts.

Do I need snow chains in winter?

Paved roads with a relatively gentle slope lead to our property; they're a priority for snow clearing in winter, so chains are necessary. Whenever heading into the mountains in winter, though, it's always worth considering bringing chains for at least two wheels.

Families with children

Is the guesthouse suitable for families with children?

Yes, there's a large playground for children with a slide, swings, a fitness module, an indoor play area, a volleyball court, a room for noisier games, and lots of green space. Our little stream often turns out to be an attraction too – it's shallow enough that children can only get in up to their knees.

Can I use the kitchen?

The Górskie Domki cottages and the Stary Młyn apartments have fully equipped kitchens with all the necessary accessories. Guesthouse rooms are equipped with a kettle, a mini fridge, and access to dishes.

Are group events or team-building sessions possible?

Yes, on request we can organise team-building events or gatherings in the fireplace lounge or on the winter terrace.

What's worth bringing for your stay?

We recommend bringing swimwear (for the pool and Russian-style banya), sports shoes, groceries for self-catering in the cottages, and a good mood for relaxing amid nature!
